Threads of Joy: A Month with Baby Cherub

Life is a tapestry woven with moments of joy, love, and connection. This month, I experienced a few of those precious moments, each one adding a beautiful thread to the fabric of our lives.

Here’s what I want to remember from this month:

On the 3rd, a dear friend came to visit. We shared a meal and engaged in lively conversations, with baby Cherub reveling in the attention and fun. As I watched them play, I thought about how fleeting these moments can be. Many people from my past remember me as a baby, yet I have no memory of them. I want baby Cherub to have these memories, to know that at one point in time, we shared good times with friends, even if life eventually takes us on different paths.

The 23rd was a special day—a date with baby Cherub at Indabo Cafe. He was on his best behavior, enjoying his food and letting me enjoy mine. These little outings are precious to me, each one a testament to the bond we share and the simple joys of life.

The next day, the 24th, my husband and I returned to Indabo Cafe for our own date. It’s always a beautiful experience to carve out time for just the two of us, to reconnect and celebrate our love. Each toast we make is a promise to cherish every moment we have together.

The month concluded with a deeply meaningful celebration on the 31st: baby Cherub’s baptism and his first birthday. It was a cozy, intimate ceremony with family and friends, where we praised God for the gift of our son and the blessing of parenthood. The day was filled with love, gratitude, and the warmth of being surrounded by those who matter most.

As the days pass and life continues its unpredictable journey, I hold these moments close to my heart. They are the proof of our shared happiness, the memories that will sustain us through time and distance.
